Are you looking for a better work life balance in your next role? TriSource is recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team in the Howard County area. In this role you will have the option to work remote two days a week! The role will report to an Accounting Manager who is known for developing her team and creating a culture where everyone loves reporting to work. The role supports the managers as they gather, review and input quarterly financial information and annual audits and tax returns. The accountant will maintain files for projects that have not been stabilized within the portfolio. The role requires someone comfortable performing multiple projects in a fast paced team oriented environment.

  • Process, analyze and adjust lower tier financial data on a quarterly basis.
  • Review project tax returns and audits
  • Assist with the compilation and review of mini-audit materials.
  • Review tax capital accounts including performing 704(b) analyses and problem resolution.
  • Interface with General Partners and their Accountants on tax and audit issues.
  • Enter data accurately and timely into financial applications and database.
  • Assist with the technical termination process in the event of a lower tier disposition.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of fund supplemental schedules.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of information that is entered into the database.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Accounting, plus at least 2 years of accounting and tax experience required; public accounting, real estate or partnership tax preferred.

• Knowledge of real estate development terminology and financial analysis preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines

• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
